Meet the San Jose Team Behind Fielding ADU San Jose
When you hire Fielding ADU San Jose, you’re not getting a rotating cast of subcontractors you’ll never see twice. You’re getting a crew that knows San Jose’s neighborhoods, its permit office quirks, and the specific way an Eichler or a 1950s ranch responds to a garage conversion. Every person who steps onto your property is background-checked, uniformed, and accountable to one name: Reed Calloway. That’s not marketing copy. It’s how we’ve operated since the Garrison Partners umbrella started in 2006, and it’s how we run every job from Willow Glen to Berryessa.
Our People

Reed Calloway, Owner
Reed Calloway founded Fielding ADU San Jose with one rule: the price goes in writing before the first nail. He’s spent nearly two decades in residential construction across the South Bay, and he’s the one who walks your site first, checks the setbacks, and tells you straight whether your lot makes sense for a detached unit or a garage conversion. Before joining the Garrison Partners family, Reed ran crews on everything from kitchen additions to whole-home remodels. He’s fluent in the prefab platforms homeowners keep asking about: Abodu, Cover, Dvele, Mighty Buildings, Boxabl, and Plant Prefab. On weekends he’s usually at a job site anyway, checking a framing inspection or walking a homeowner through a punch list. He’d rather be there than anywhere else.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus is the guy who makes sure the foundation is square before the walls go up. He’s been with the Garrison network for eleven years, and he’s led framing and foundation work on more than forty ADU and room addition projects in San Jose alone. Marcus holds certifications in concrete flatwork and seismic anchoring, which matters in a city where the soil shifts and the building code demands proper tie-downs. He keeps a laser level in his truck that he’s probably recalibrated more recently than most people rotate their tires. If Marcus says a floor is flat, it’s flat.
Dana R., Senior Installer
Dana runs the install side of our prefab and modular builds. She’s the reason a Dvele or Abodu unit goes from delivery to dried-in fast without cutting corners on flashing or weatherproofing. Dana spent six years on high-end residential remodels in Los Gatos and Campbell before coming to Fielding ADU San Jose, and she’s got a reputation for catching small details before they become expensive ones. She’s our James Hardie siding specialist, and she’ll tell you the difference between a lap joint that lasts twenty years and one that fails after three. When she’s not on a job, she’s restoring a 1962 Shasta trailer in her driveway.
Leo P., Apprentice
Leo came to us through a San Jose union pre-apprenticeship program two years ago, and he’s the one you’ll see taking measurements, prepping materials, and keeping the site clean. He’s working toward his journey-level framing credential and shadows Marcus on every foundation and rough-in. Leo grew up in East San Jose and remembers when the light rail extension went in near his uncle’s house. He wants to build ADUs that keep families together in the neighborhoods where they grew up. That’s not a tagline for him. It’s the reason he showed up at our shop asking for a job.
One Standard, Every Job
The Garrison Standard is a simple list, and every Fielding ADU San Jose crew member can recite it cold: show up in the window, price in writing, by the book, leave it clean, stand behind it for a year. We write the price before any work starts, with no change orders surprises. We give every project a written one-year guarantee. If something fails inside that year, we come back and fix it at no charge. Reed enforces that standard personally because his name is on the sign. Marcus, Dana, and Leo work under it because they know it’s what keeps San Jose homeowners calling us back. Live-person phone coverage around the clock means that when you call (669) 201-3984, a real person answers. No voicemail. No callback queue. Just a human who knows your project and can get you an answer.
